Mentor and Mentee System at TGWS

Teaching –Learning is highly individualized at TGWS. The teacher’s knowledge of the student beyond his/her academic caliber, gives that extra edge to them to coach the students accordingly .The teacher’s extra attention is individually diverted not only in homework completion , but also revision and reiteration of topics, notebook completion , upkeep of the learning materials, etiquette and mannerism of the children and others. Hence it is more of an overall development rather than academic reiteration.

The pastoral teams of TGWS are committed to the well-being of each child in their care, allowing them to develop and grow within a warm, supportive atmosphere.Pastoral care in the Senior School is designed to create a similar supportive environment for the young men and women who are growing into early adulthood.

The school’s pastoral system ensures every student is highly valued for who he/she is, and similarly encourages him/her to learn how to value, accept and appreciate others.

  Discipline at TGWS Boarding:

Discipline is not shutting the Boarder’s from the developmental aspects surrounding them, but rather exposing them more and more towards the managerial aspects till they learn how to manage. Our Boarding students are well informed, well read citizens of tomorrow who manage their self even while unobserved. They are always made to believe that ‘You are the best when you are not observed’.

They are given as much as freedom they like, provided they know where to draw a line. Here to imbibe social and personal responsibilities life skill lessons are kept for students where they get oriented on various aspects of growth and challenges. A close monitoring is inbuilt in the system, which is to help them rather than restricting their freedom. The Boarding Guidelines help them grow as responsible citizens:
